It's hard to beleive that he is two. Two years ago today was certainly a whirlwind! It's hard to remember the timeline but we sure didn't know what we were in for at this point in the day. Two years later I am greatful that, since the first two weeks, which were tough, we have received nothing but good news about Dylan's health and he certainly is happy. Thanks to everyone for all the help these last two years. I'm proud of him.

Am I in now?

Somebody let me know if I'm in the right place.
Now we're cookin. I'm watching KState beat Iowa State and resting my right arm from arrying this ring around all day.

Call a Mac Guy, LLC

Well, It looks like we are going to give it a go. I proposed some changes to my status at TTD that would give me the opportunity to help Rob get Call a Mac Guy started. You can see the very beginnings here: http://callamacguy.com/. It's a little rough around the edges, but it's a start.

The TTD partners were very impressed and intrigued with the ideas I put forth and I feel Rob and I will be moving forward with a strong ally of our cause. I see this a huge benefit that most small start-ups don't get. They will bring valuable advice not only from a marketing and promotional perspective but from a business perspective in general. It appears they are more than willing to allow Rob and I to base our Denver operations out of their space and they may put together some promotional material to help us get the word out.

I will start out by hitting the pavement in Downtown Denver. There is a large campus a couple of hundred yards away with lots of Apple toting students. Not to mention the array of small creative firms downtown here that are Macintosh based. It's also helpful that TTD will potentially be one of our first clients and we will have them on our resume from the very beginning.

Rob has already got the ball rolling in Boulder and Longmont. He will be sending out an invoice today totalling over $900 to a small company in Boulder that may be swithcing completely to Apple products soon. Migration from Windows to Mac could be a huge, profitable market for us down the road.

All in all, I'm extremely excited and my gears have really been turning... it's a good feeling. Giving up the stability of the 9-5'er is a little scary for both Jill and I, as it would be for anybody looking a new mortgage payment every month. The bottom line is that it feels extremely right, right now.

More to come...

This is not a commentary on Gary Groves.

I began reading this book a couple of nights ago, so I will try make an occasional update regarding my progress. So far I'm very impressed.

It appears it's going to be a very easy read and I should be done within a few days. So far, I would recommend it to everyone.

Kiyosaki deals a lot with the different ways people view money and the stigmas that surround learning and dealing with it.

He feels he had a unique experience learning about money because he had two father figures in his life with completely different outlooks on the topic.

One father believed that money was the root of all evil. The other believed that the lack of money was the root of all evil. It would seem these are very similar statements on the surface. Kiyosaki proves otherwise.

The Groves Rock Band

In typical impulsive fashion, Sharah went out yesterday and bought a drum set for our PS2 to go with the guitar and microphone. Now we have a complete rock band at our house. Sharah is on lead vocals and I might add sounds very much like Kurt Cobain, Jake is on lead guitar and has taken to smoking cigarettes while he plays. Dylan is on backup vocals. He is one of those backup singers that incorporates dance moves while he sings. He has also shown the ability to pull the plug on our gaming system. I'm assuming this happens when he is not happy with our sound. I play percussion. We have covered songs from Bon Jovi, Weezer, and many others.

Good times!
